Orthodontist serving Port Coquitlam

About 15 to 20 minutes across the Pitt River Bridge. Which myORTHODONTIST office is closer depends on where in PoCo you live.

Two offices, one network: which is closer?

myORTHODONTIST has offices in both Maple Ridge and Coquitlam. For Port Coquitlam residents east of the Coquitlam River, in Citadel Heights, Riverwood and Mary Hill, Maple Ridge is often the easier drive: Lougheed Highway east across the Pitt River Bridge, about 12 kilometres and 15 to 20 minutes to Dewdney Trunk Road. For residents near Shaughnessy and the west side, the myORTHODONTIST Coquitlam office may be closer. Both offices share the same specialist team standards and treatment philosophy, and patients can be seen at either.

Getting to Maple Ridge from Port Coquitlam

Driving: Lougheed Highway east, across the Pitt River Bridge, through Pitt Meadows and into Maple Ridge; left on 227th or 228th, right on Dewdney Trunk Road. The bridge itself no longer bottlenecks the way the old swing bridge did, but Lougheed through Pitt Meadows slows between 3 and 6 pm. Morning appointments avoid it entirely.

Transit: the R3 RapidBus runs from Coquitlam Central through Port Coquitlam and Pitt Meadows to Haney Place, about a 5-minute walk from the clinic. The West Coast Express stops at Port Coquitlam and Port Haney.

Scheduling

PoCo students at Terry Fox, Riverside and Archbishop Carney typically book the 8 am slot or the last appointment of the day. Adjustment visits every 6 to 10 weeks run 20 to 30 minutes; aligner patients are seen every 8 to 10 weeks with remote monitoring between.

What PoCo families ask

  • Can we start in one office and finish in the other? In most cases yes; ask at the evaluation.
  • Is the airway-focused approach the same at both offices? Yes. Screening for breathing and sleep is part of every assessment across the network. See airway orthodontics.
  • Cost differences? None based on location. See cost and insurance.
